Bundy II.. not on serial number charts? This thread got me to thinking about my Bundy II, and I got it out last night and fiddled with it. Its cosmetic condition is why I subconciously put it up in favor of my other altos (student horns- YAS 2. King 6. 60), which are prettier. The Bundy II has lots of scratches and rubbed areas on the lacquer, and a couple of minor corrosion spots. I bought it about two years ago in a pawn shop for $1. It is in good playable condition, but there is some wear on the felts and corks as this horn was played by its previous owner(s). The pads are good. This horn is solidly built. It speaks very well through the range with the Graftonite. Nobody would mistake this Bundy II for a Mark VI by any means, but it is a good, very solid horn with a deep and mellow tone for an alto. I am very pleased to have it.
